Ms. Willie Beatrice Morton, 96, a native of Hurdle Mills, North Carolina, made her transition into eternal life on Sunday evening, September 14, 2025. Willie, affectionately known as Bea was born October 4, 1928 to the union of the late James “Jim” Morton and Eula Villines Morton.
Bea attended Person County Training Schools, she was a member of Hester's Grove Baptist Church of Hurdle Mills and retired from Eaton Corporation.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her brother James Herbert Morton Jr., three of her four sisters, Annie Mildred Bradsher, Mary Lee Villines and Aldene Burton.
She leaves to cherish her memory of a lovingly devoted sister, Arcelia Smith of Greensboro, NC. Nieces: Dean Greenleaf (Phillip), Patricia Lester, Andre LaSmith (Jesse), Faye Bumpass (Robert Lee), Debra Glenn (William), and Mae Long. Nephews: Mack Burton III (Adrienne) and Shawn Villines (Angela).
Funeral arrangements:
Public viewing at Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel, 209 Chub Lake St. Roxboro, NC- Thursday, September 18th from 1:00 to 6:30pm with family present from 5:30-6:30pm. The funeral service will follow at 6:30pm.
Burial will be held at 11:00am, Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Bradsher Family Cemetery, Union Grove Church Rd., Hurdle Mills, NC
