Mr. Ralph Thomas Pulliam, age 82, answered the Lord’s call and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Roxboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Person County, North Carolina on February 27, 1943, to the late Fountain Gurley Pulliam and Minnie Banks Pulliam. He was the eldest of the seven children.
Ralph received his education in the Person County School System through the ninth grade, at which time he left school to assist his family on the farm. He began his Christian journey at Olive Hill Baptist Church in Leasburg, North Carolina, and later joined the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Roxboro, North Carolina.
Ralph loved singing, playing his guitar, and was an avid farmer. Being a jack of all trades, he painted, worked outside on his tractor, and used his God given talents and intelligence to succeed in all of his endeavors. His perseverance and strong work ethic were admired by many, both near and far.
Ralph was preceded in eternal life by his parents and his siblings: Estelle P. Hill, Lorraine P. Stanton, Viola P. Harrison, Wesley Pulliam, and Fountain Pulliam, Jr.
Left to cherish his legacy and memories: his beloved wife for over three decades, Barbara Tucker Pulliam of the home; two children, Ralph Antonio Pulliam, Jr. of Danville, Va. and Felicia Moss of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren; one sister, Hattie Pulliam Blackwell of Timberlake, NC, and a sister-in-law, Teresa Tucker of Pelham, NC, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
His life was a testament to hard work, being a born leader, and his unwavering dedication and love for his devoted and “spoiled" wife, Barbara.
