Linda Diane Royster

Ms. Linda Diane Royster, age 74, peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at her residence in Roxboro, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Ralph H. Royster and Cora W. Royster.

Linda was a native of Person County and attended Person County Schools. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by four sisters: Gennie L. Smith, Mattie B. Royster, Addie R. Pettiford, and Corrine Royster; and three brothers: Early J. Royster, William T. Royster, and Wallace Royster.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Christopher L. Royster of the home; three granddaughters: Jakayla A. Blackwell of Roxboro, North Carolina, Caitlin L. Allen of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Neriha R. Torain of Roxboro, North Carolina; two sisters, Irie R. Poteat and Annie M. Harris, both of Roxboro, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 21, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel, 209 Chub Lake Street, Roxboro, NC 27573.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Dwight L. Wilkerson will serve as the eulogist.
