Mr. Keith Tracey Hughes, born at Duke Hospital on December 2, 1989 to Lula Williamson Woods and the late Tracey Hughes, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
Keith obtained his General Education Diploma, but prior to receiving his diploma, he attended Person High School. Keith was full of laughter and enjoyed telling jokes. He had a heart of gold and put his family first. He loved to fish and enjoyed fishing as a little boy.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Tracey Hughes, his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Claudia Williamson, his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Rachel Hughes, as well as Lena and Galveston Ellis and George Young, and an aunt, Eleanor Williamson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Lula W. Woods (Gregorio), daddy, Christopher Ellis (Tanika); three children, Mya Hughes, Darrick Hughes, Jayczon Hughes and a special daughter, Brooklyn Jones and her mother, Brooke George; two sisters, Krista Ellis and Tenasia Griffin and four brothers, C.J. Ellis, Trey Hughes, Andrew Black, and Neymar Calles; five aunts, Katie Martin, Jennifer Jones (Kenneth), Elaine Blackwell (David) all of Roxboro, NC, Charity Williamson of Durham, NC and Veronica Young of Semora, NC; six uncles, Dwayne Williamson (Courtney) of Durham, NC, Charles Ellis (Mary) of Milton, NC and Michael Hughes, Ronald Hughes and George Young (Sheena) all of Roxboro, NC, and Brian Hughes of Maryland; his maternal grandmother, Vickie Young; three nephews, Kaiden Holt, Markeith Pettiford, Nasir Poteat and two nieces, Kirstyn Ellis and Rae’Lynn Moore; a special cousin, Roosevelt Martin, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00pm at the Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel at 209 Chub Lake Street Roxboro, NC.
