Karlos Raheem Tapp

Mr. Karlos Raheem Tapp, a native of Roxboro, NC, was pronounced deceased from his earthly life on Friday, June 28, 2024, at his home. 

Karlos was born April 23, 1978, to Pattie J. Tapp and the late  Landus Darrel Tapp. He attended Person County and Halifax, Virginia Schools and received his high school diploma in 1996.  He also attended Piedmont Community College, where he earned an Associate degree in Industrial Systems Technology in 2014. He was a member of the Shady Hill Missionary Baptist Church and sang with the Male Chorus for several years. 

Karlos served in the United States Army and National Guard and held positions as an E-6 Ranger and Staff Sergeant. Following his service, he worked as a welder and later as a HVAC technician and building maintenance professional. He loved his old school rap, gospel quartets, rhythm and blues music, his military simulation video games, and  fishing with buddies. He also loved a good game of Spades at cookout gatherings.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Melvin and Henrietta Royster Jordan, and Landis and Margaret Brooks Tapp; two aunts, Mary Elizabeth Jordan and Anita G. Tapp; two uncles, Archie Brice Jordan and Jackie D. Tapp, and a foster brother, Jay Jordan.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  two children, Trevon Malik Tapp and Kameryn Reneè-Bailey Tapp; his mother, Pattie J. Tapp, one sister, Keisha R. Tapp and one foster brother, Kurt Jordan (Christy); one uncle, William M. Jordan (Brenda), two aunts, Alean A. Jordan and Selma Tapp Hooker (Linwood); two nephews, Taviin and Tedrick and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public Walkthrough will be held at Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel -209 Chub Lake St. Roxboro, NC on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 1:00 – 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Shady Hill Missionary Baptist Church 1500 Old Durham Rd. Roxboro, NC.
