Jesse Rasu Brown

Mr. Jesse Rasu “Superia” Brown, affectionaly known as “Su” was born December 31, 1967, in Paterson, New Jersey, to the late Mary Ruth Brown and Jesse Felder, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in Roxboro, NC at the age of 56.

Superia attended Passaic County Public School #12 and John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson, New Jersey. He was employed with PBM Graphics until the company was affected by the COVID pandemic. He often visited the Christ Miracle Temple Church of Danville, Va. and the Greater Deliverance Tabernacle Church in Roxboro, NC.

Superia enjoyed fishing, weight lifting, and showcasing his cooking skills for his family. Su had a unique sense of humor and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pearline Leary and brother, Steven Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory,  his wife, Tasha Woods Brown of the home, five sons, Rayshon Brown of Florida, Shaquan Brown (Destiny) of Roxboro, NC, Demarcus and Cameron Brown of the home, Treyson Brown of Yanceyville, NC and three daughters, Tyshay Brown of Paterson, New Jersey, Jessica Brown of Oxford, NC and Samaya Brown of Yanceyville, NC; eight brothers, Samuel Brown (Jackie), Bobby Wheeler, Kenneth Wheeler (Dee), Milton Leary (Puss), Kenny Felder, Otis Wheeler, Lucious Wheeler and Ceasar Wheeler. Nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. As well as bonus siblings, Marvin Brown (KK), Patricia Brown Day, and Monique Kennedy (Jermal).

A public viewing will be held Sunday, April 21, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00pm at the Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel at 209 Chub Lake St. Roxboro, NC 27573. A service of remembrance will follow the public viewing at 2:00pm in the Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel. Eulogist:  Apostle Cynthia Carter.
