Jerryl Leon Stewart

On Friday, December 6, 2024, God sent his heavenly angel to bring home one of his own, Mr. Jerryl Leon Stewart. He was born on March 20, 1961, to Ernestine Cousin Stewart and the late AC Stewart, Sr.

He was a native of Person County and attended Person County Schools. He was a graduate of the class of 1980.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Cousin and a brother, AC Stewart, Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Ernestine Stewart of the home; one special sister, Savonzie Stewart of Roxboro; three brothers, James Henry Stewart, Rev. Ken Stewart (Shirley) both of Roxboro and Glen Stewart (Tonia) of Milton. A nephew, Ronald Cousin of Roxboro; two aunts, Tessie Cousin of Roxboro, and Katie Cousin of Durham; and one uncle, Darryl Stewart of Roxboro and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Viewing will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 1:00 – 6:00pm at the Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel, 209 Chub Lake St. Roxboro, NC 27573

Funeral service will be Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00pm at the St. James Baptist Church, Leasburg, NC. Rev. Haywood Smith, eulogist.
