Bruce Antonio Morris

Brucellious “Bruce” Antonio Morris, Sr., 51, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, in Roxboro, North Carolina. Bruce was born June 17, 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Phillis Jean Burton Morris and William Louis Jordan Morris. 

Bruce grew up and attended public school in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2009, he moved to Person County. He was employed with the US Flu Cured Tobacco Company until his health declined. Bruce never met a stranger and loved everyone. He left an impression on so many lives and will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his fiancé, Tonya Crawley of Roxboro, NC; five children, LaToya Morris, Bruce Morris, Jr., and Maya Morris of Baltimore, Maryland, Brittany Morris of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jaylan Morris of Roxboro, NC.  Five step-children, Lamont Crawley, Kaniyah Crawley and Ladystany Crawley of Roxboro, NC, Taylor Corbin and Demetria Levine of Baltimore, Maryland. Three sisters, Margareta Lynette Morris, Chantina Featherstone, and Ashley Morris of Roxboro, NC. Ten grandchildren, Camron Crawley, Zion Morris, Samiya Holt, Akira Morris, Ta’Kwane Pierce, Jr., Antwon Hopkins, III, Laiyah Holt, Mudas Cooper, Drew Hopkins, Zahaire Fowler and a host of other family and friends.

Public Viewing will be held at Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel -209 Chub Lake St. Roxboro, NC on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 1:00 – 7:00 pm

The funeral service will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2:00pm with visitation prior to the service from 1:30 – 2:00pm at Alan L. Lawson Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Dwight L. Wilkerson, Pastor of the Dan River Bethel Baptist Church will be providing the eulogy.
