Braxton Jordan, 87, Kinston, transitioned on Monday, May 26, 2025. 

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 10:00 am at S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Minister Carl Mangum will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Reginald Whitfield, grandson, Kelvin Whitfield, brothers, Larry Jordan, Frank Jordan, sisters, Cathy Whitt, Annie Torain, Betty Ann Pass. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
